High Friction Surface Treatment (ONYX)

High Friction Surface Treatment (ONYX) is manufactured with high-quality aggregate creating a frictional matrix that adds safety for all vehicles. ONYX is significantly enhanced with unique flexible polymers ensuring protection against harmful UV rays that can fade the color in your asphalt. 

A mixture of asphalt emulsion, increased levels of aggregates, recycled materials, polymers, and catalysts was created to maximize frictional characteristics of roadways by improving micro texture on the pavement surface. Onyx is a cleaner asphalt technology.

Engineered to withstand harsh winters and wet springs, ONYX prevents water from penetrating the asphalt. Chemically cured, traffic resumes just hours after the application. 

The deep black color of ONYX provides rich aesthetic value to the pavement and provides significant contrast to striping for added safety. From the central manufacturing plant directly to the job site, ONYX experiences no contamination or dilution ensuring a safe and consistent product.
